NCSC attended the September launch of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Juvenile Justice Reform Program. The objective of the program is to reduce recidivism rates among youth offenders by providing the necessary support mechanisms for rehabilitation.  The program is a collaboration of OECS and USAID through the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI), a regional security partnership to combat the drug trade and other transnational crimes that threaten regional security.  Six OECS member states attended the launch event, followed by a workshop to develop country-specific workplans.  NCSC highlighted areas for cooperation with OECS and member states.
