Serbia, December 2013:
Anti-Corruption Agency Addresses Political Finance

In honor of International Anti-Corruption Day, Serbia’s Anti-Corruption Agency held a conference on “Politics and Money” reviewing data on political financing in 2012, with the support of USAID’s Judicial Reform and Government Accountability Project (JRGA), implemented by NCSC. USAID Mission Director, Susan Fritz, commended the efforts of the Anti-Corruption Agency to make political finance data available to the public. Conference participants included members of parliament, the media and civil society representatives.  Also in December, JRGA completed an organizational needs assessment of Anti-Corruption Agency, analyzing the Agency’s institutional capacity and training needs.

USAID’s Judicial Reform and Government Accountability Project (JRGA) is a five-year initiative that seeks to strengthen the administration of justice and to promote good governance in Serbia.  For more information, visit our website at www.jrga.org.
