Kosovo: NCSC Hosts IJET Fellows for Change Management Workshop

On May 5, 2016, NCSC hosted Judge Makifete Saliuka and Judge Milena Djeric for a day-long change management workshop to provide them with the tools necessary to develop effective change plans for implementation in their courts. Senior Program Managers, Violaine Autheman and JoAnne Richardson, discussed the elements of change management, pilot program design, and outreach campaigns, guiding the judges through the development of a roadmap to advance their objectives of increasing the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to reduce case backlog in Kosovo courts.

The judges visited the U.S. through the International Judicial Education and Training Fellowship Program, implemented by the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) and funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.
