Iraq Central Administration of Justice Institutions

In October 2010, the National Center for State Courts was awarded a competitive procurement to implement a two-year, $4.5 million contract from the U.S. State Department Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (State/INL).

The focus of the project is to improve the central administration of justice-sector institutions in Iraq, the Higher Judicial Council, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

NCSC’s work focuses on the implementation of strategic plans, budgeting around the strategic plans, and monitoring the execution of the plans.  To implement the effort, NCSC has created implementing groups within each Ministry to conduct internal assessments and work with their counterparts to make changes.
