In May 2017, NCSC organized two stakeholder workshops to define steps and actions to institutionalize the National Center for the Criminal Record and the Observatory of the Criminal Phenomenon. These institutions will strengthen the Government of Morocco’s capacity to document past criminal activity and analyze criminal trends. Stakeholders worked with NCSC experts to identify outstanding questions affecting implementation and the steps that would need to be taken to fully functionalize these institutions. NCSC has been working with counterparts in Morocco to functionalize three institutions in implementation of the Justice Reform Charter since March 2016.
The Justice Sector Feasibility Studies Program is implemented by NCSC under a cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.
